Early Explorer Package College advising for 9th and 10th graders

Your student is in the most underused window of the college process. No deadlines, no test scores to chase, no application pressure. That quiet is an opportunity. The families who use it well arrive at junior year already ahead.

What colleges want to see is not a list of activities. It is a student who developed genuine interests, pursued them with initiative, and made an impact in ways that are specific to who they are. Those students do not figure that out in junior year. They have been building it since ninth and tenth grade, one decision at a time.

Starting now gives you the chance to shape your student's college profile intentionally, and to make decisions about courses, activities, and summers that are actually aligned with where they want to go. Wait until junior year and many of those decisions are already behind you.

The Early Explorer Package is five sessions with our college advising team. Your student will identify what genuinely engages them, explore specific programs and opportunities worth pursuing, and start building a college profile that is distinctly theirs.

What's included:

Four sessions directly with your student. Each session builds on the last. We map what genuinely engages your student, where they spend their time and attention, and what patterns keep showing up across different parts of their life. Those patterns are what we build from. Between sessions, we research specific programs, competitions, and opportunities they can pursue to develop those interests and build a college profile that is distinctly theirs.

A final family session with your full plan. We bring you into the picture with everything documented in one place so you are not starting college planning from zero. You leave with:

  • Concrete recommendations for summer and extracurricular direction

  • Course priorities for the year ahead

  • SAT/ACT timing recommendations

  • A personalized college timeline from here through senior year

  • The Student Snapshot: a written record of everything we learned about your student across all five sessions
